8.8 billion shiilings to be disbursed to vulnerable families under beginning Monday

Over 1 million vulnerable Kenyans will receive 8.8 billion shillings from the government under the Inua Jamii Programme beginning Monday. The cash is being disbursed as part of the government’s initiatives to cushion the vulnerable from the impact of Covid 19 Pandemic. A further half a billion shillings was disbursed to clear arrears owed to persons living with severe disabilities under the cash transfer program.
