This design:
1.) Does not attach to your ears.
2.) Conforms to the shape of your face
3.) Can be made in under 10 minutes.
4.) Incorporates folds as an alternative to sewn seems. That simplifies the pattern which reduces the amount of cutting and sewing.
The material selection is inspired by a 2013 study that a friend recently shared with me. I found it surprising that an effective face mask can be made with materials found in a typical home.
