Comet ATLAS (C/2019 Y4) has the potential to put on one of the best shows seen in years. This is two hours of footage captured on April 10, 2020. But now there are some early indications that it might be breaking up early and cruising towards a spectacular fizzling instead and starting to fade. Astronomers from the University of Maryland and Caltech report that Comet C/2019 Y4, or ATLAS, may be falling apart. They reported that images taken on (April 5) showed an elongated pseudo-nucleus - as would be expected from a major disruption of the nucleus.
