There are fears Queensland could face severe and long-lasting economic impacts if Virgin doesn't emerge from voluntary administration soon.

The airline spends $1 billion on Queensland suppliers each year.

Regional areas are expected to take an enormous hit with the airline generating billions per year for businesses and tourism in the state.
