Florida with Kids Who are Too Young for Disney: Traveling the Florida Coast with Toddlers Florida with Kids Who are Too Young for Disney: Traveling the Florida Coast with Toddlers
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For Spring Break 2020, we visited Grammie + Scott's cousins down in the Melbourne / Cocoa Beach area of Florida! Traveling the Florida Coast with Toddlers is such a picture perfect vacation. There is the opportunity to go to Disney, which we have not done with our kids yet (ages 2.5 years and 18 months); however there are many other things to do on a family vacation in Florida with kids who are too young for Disney.

We chose to visit the Brevard Zoo which was truly the most amazing Zoo we've ever visited (and we've been to a ton of zoos). This Zoo was so interactive. We were able to feed birds and get close with kangaroos. Mom even got to ride a zip line over the wetlands on the Treetop Trek! The kids just honestly love animals so much. We structure much of what we do when we travel around exposing our kids to new and interesting animals.

Beyond visiting the best Zoo in the USA ;), Florida, of course, has some incredible beaches. We spent the majority of our beach time here at Spessard Holland Beach, Beach-side of Melbourne, Florida. The waters were calm; the beaches were clean. Aside from a few people ashore fishing, the beach was not too crowded. It was just easy... and the kids are happy anywhere they can see the ocean!

There are tons of other fun things to do along the Florida Coast! We always end up in this area because this is where Scott's family is, but we'd love to do a road trip around Florida and see a few places like Naples and Clear Water. Any Floridians out there who can recommend some must-see places in your state? Or Florida Visitors who've discovered some hidden gems? Let us know in the comments below!
