We ran into two bikers on this trail that were going uphill on it which is perfectly fine since it is a two way trail. They were yelling at us with f-bombs and profusely telling us to "Slow down" and that it wasn't a good idea to "Blast music and not listen to people". All I want to do is communicate my position on the situation. We were not going that fast down the trail. José was playing music but was definitely not blasting it. The only time I could hear it was when I was standing right next to him, and he wouldn't be playing it at a volume that was unsafe for himself or others. When we saw that there were people coming up the trail towards us, we politely and properly pulled off the trail and let them pass. We are all strong enforcers ourselves of the uphill traffic get the right of way rule. They reacted strongly, inappropriately, and out of place for how we were truly acting. That's my two cents.
I highly recommend riding, walking, and hiking this new trail to all skill levels. There just is a climb to get there or it is a climb itself depending on what direction you are headed.
Make sure to watch Josh's video on this ride:
Stay tuned for the next video and see you guys soon!
P.S. Please RESPECTFULLY (Dawson) let me know down in the comments section what the proper way to spell Ponti/e trail is. I have heard and seen it spelled different ways from many different sources.
