Inside the issue, Jane discussed how she arrived to the position she has today, as a vocal advocate of the environment. The actress joined forces with several environmental organizations and students protesting in front of the Capitol, urging politicians to tackle climate change. The events became known as 'Fire Drill Fridays', and attracted an array of celebrities joining in on the protesting effort. Jane was arrested several times as a result of her activism, and even spent a night in jail. The actress made her metal bunk a little more comfortable with the help of her red coat, and managed to sleep as inmates screamed and sobbed nearby, according to the site. Jane described the surprisingly empowering experience of being arrested for her passion. 'Even though you're being handcuffed and put in a situation where you have absolutely no control, it's like stepping in to yourself. I have chosen to put myself in this position where I lose all power because of something I believe in. And it's incredible,' she said. Jane, who has been married three times to powerful men, said for the first time she feels she's taking the reigns.'I always felt like the student,' she explained. 'This is the first time that I am the leader.' In addition to Jane, other stars featured in the Conservation Issue include Grimes, Rosario Dawson, and Madelaine Petsch.
