Making a Paint Shaker from a Brass Tumbler

This is a pretty quick and simple way to make a paint shaker from a brass tumbler. I chose to remove the existing tub and replace it with a coffee can to better direct the vibration direction and to more easily confine my paint products.
The key to making this perform as a shaker and not a vibrator is to change the rotational speed of the motor to throw it out of balance even more to create the shaking effect. I have chosen the accomplish this with a router speed controller. The other process that is needed is to attach the base to a solid surface so it won't "walk" away.
