Rescued Skinny, Hairless Dog and Wonderful Recovery

- The dog was named HUMAN.
Rescuing HUMAN began 4 days ago when she was reported to us by Agung, a caring dog lover from a small village who needed assistance. Once we saw the photos and understood she was not safe we worked on the logistics of rescue.

To rescue an animal takes team work of like minded people.
.
We booked a driver, purchased a new crate (to add to our rescue gear), spoke to Agung to confirm HUMAN was there, prayed the torrential rains would stop, headed to the location. On site we were met by many local villagers curious to know what was happening. Several stepped in to help.

We followed HUMAN as she tried to escaped our curiosity. Eventually she ate the food and sedative we lay down which allowed us to safley pick her up.

Today she rests. She has a good appetite but is still a little snappy (understandably). She has had full blood work which shows slight aneamia. Her organ functions are good. She will have routine blood tests to ensure her condition is improving. She is on antibiotics for her leg wound (she seems to have a broken leg that has self healed with an added wound).

It's been 14 days since this skinny, hairless and homeless hound was rescued and the progress speaks for itself.


Every day we reach a new milestone. Today she had all 4 paws out of the cage and eating treats closer to my body. This is a huge progress for such a fearful pup. .
