Where Can I Turn for Peace?

Where Can I Turn for Peace? “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world he shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 14:27; 16:33)

“Where Can I Turn for Peace?” has got to be one of my favorite hymns. It has helped me through some trying seasons. The words perfectly describe how it feels to live in this world. Sometimes it gets too loud, too painful, too difficult. Evident in recent events, sometimes it can get scary. But this hymn reminds me that though the world may be overwhelming, Christ has overcome the world. Always, His grace and the peace that comes from His love is sufficient and consistent. Today, people of all faiths have been invited for a worldwide fast! Let’s spend some time to be still, thoughtful and prayerful about the ailments of our home.

Peace?
