Ms Wang told Sky News on Saturday her company took CO2 from industrial sources and combined it into minerals to create building materials.
“It’s actually the earth’s natural process of storing CO2, which we’ve sped up from millions of years into a matter of hours,” she said.
“When scaled up this technology has the potential to lock away billions of tons of CO2 into profitable materials.
“Carbon dioxide is a resource and not just a harmful waste.”
She said the process was also economically viable.
“We can create profitable materials out of emissions, it’s a really compelling business case for a lot of traditional industries,” she said.
“The industry is estimated to be worth more than $1 trillion by 2030, so if Australia can be a part of that, it’s going to be such a great opportunity for us.”
