COVID-19: Librarians Available 24|7 to Assist You Although the physical Chester Fritz Library is currently not open, UND librarians are available online to help students, faculty and staff.

You can contact the library through its website and click Ask Us. Live chat, email and phone contact information is available.

The Chester Fritz Library is the largest library in the state of North Dakota and the primary research facility for UND and the Upper Midwest region. Supporting more than 60 master’s and doctoral degree programs, we provide services to more than 13,000 students and over 700 faculty members. We are centrally located on campus.

We have a variety of services to offer students, faculty, and staff, both on and off campus. From our comprehensive Ask Us options to book requests via Interlibrary loan to specialized library instruction, our staff are available to help you with all stages of your research to find and obtain the resources you need to complete your project or assignment.

Founded in 1883, six years before the state itself was established, the University of North Dakota is a busy 521-acre campus, the state’s largest. We're an innovator in engineering, medicine, aviation and unmanned aircraft systems with colleges of business, arts, sciences, nursing, aerospace, education, engineering and medicine. Undergraduate and graduate degrees are offered online and on campus.
