Protesters in US continue to defy curfews as Minneapolis investigates police department | ABC News Demonstrations over the killing of George Floyd continue in the United States, with protesters rallying for the eighth straight night.


After Donald Trump threatened to deploy the military to quell unrest, the Pentagon moved about 1600 hundred troops on standby outside Washington.


Demonstrations are now largely peaceful, with George Floyd's family joining protests in Houston and Minneapolis.
