This past week, myself and a bunch of YouTubers put on an all-day convention to entertain people stuck at home. I presented on a panel called Comics Academia. This is an edited version of that panel, where I discuss a recurring idea in comics, the Kid Gang trope. I list the defining characteristics of these teams and go over the history from Young Allies to The Newsboy Legion to Boy Commandos to Archie to Teen Titans to X-Men to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Paper Girls. Each of these teams has the same roles filled but reflects what was going on in society at the time. Who was your favorite Kid Gang?
