The Philippine air force has managed to get three medium tactical transport aircraft. Maxdefense Philippines in an article on June 10 said "the Philippine Air Force (PAF) is starting to acquire additional medium tactical transport aircraft for the 220th Wing Airlift".
Under the current Philippine Armed Forces (AFP) modernization program, the tactical transport aircraft acquisition project is under the horizon 2nd.
In this acquisition project, according to Maxdefense Philippines, the number of medium-sized tactical aircraft acquired was three units.
Plus that CN-235-220 aircraft from Indonesia Aerospace (PTDI) and C-295 airbus entered the platform considered by the Philippine Air Force.
C-295 aircraft from Airbus are already operated by the Philippine Air Force. Three as medium tactical transport aircraft were obtained during Horizon 1, and one was obtained through the fixed wing Turbo Command and Control Prop Acquisition Project.
